This time, it actually *has* been over a year since I last posted here. Whoopsies.
I'm not dead, so that might make some of you happy. 2020 definitely gave me a run for my money, but I am clinging to hope that 2021 is going to be even the slightest bit better. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Send that positivity out into the cosmos for 2021, alright? We all need it. So much.
So what have I been doing all this time? I promise I've been productive and haven't been twiddling my fingers while binging Netflix. I mean, I've done that *some*, but I've done actual things too! Important things!
What probably took most of my time from October 2019 to November 2020 was getting my Master's. I attended an online program, and I am now officially an MBA graduate with an emphasis on IT Management. How adult of me, right?
Anyway, after I finished my Master's, I decided to take a month off and let my brain rest. And then, on January 1st, I started on my goals for this year. Since I haven't written creatively in a long time, I set myself up with a membership to 750 Words and have pledged to write at least 750 words every day. I can write about anything I want, but I want to get those 750 words out no matter what.
For those of you who have been around for a while, you'll know that prior to 2020 I was working on the script for an audiodrama series. That was obviously put on hold, and I've picked that up again. I'm using my daily time with my 750 words to work on fleshing out the character development, backstory, and overall plot of the first season, and I've been really good about it. It's the 16th, and I have written every single day. I feel almost like back when I was posting daily on this blog.
I'm not going to make any promises here because my focus is on the audiodrama script, but I've set up a weekly reminder for myself to post something on good ol' faithful 52 Weeks of Wordage. It may happen, it may not. But what I will say is that I will do my absolute best to post regularly, revamp the visuals, and make it something worth reading again.
There's more to come that's currently in development mode, and I'll keep you updated as I'm able.
If you're still here after over a year of silence, you're a real one. Seriously. If we ever meet in person, I owe you a beer.
