I have had a heart for travel since I knew there were other countries outside of the US, and I have since made it a goal of mine to see as much as the world as I possibly can. Sure, in comparison, the Earth is just a little speck of dust in the universe, but compared to me and my even more minute size, it's gigantic. That being said, one doesn't have to travel to explore. All you have to do is go into your backyard, your local library, to the park down the street... anywhere, really. You never want to lose that sense of wonder at the world. Peace. Stef.

FIFA World Cup 2014

For those of you who a) hate sports or b) "don't do soccer," feel free to read another post (how about THIS ONE or THIS ONE ? Oooh, maybe even THIS ONE !) or head on over to another blog that has awesome non-soccer-related content. Because today, we 'bout to talk some football. And I'm not talking about what we Americans call football. I'm talking about real football (aka soccer).

Exercise #205 - Pencils

How a character handles a given object can be immensely revealing. Briefly describe, as specifically as you can, how the following characters would handle a pencil: a harried, middle-aged librarian named Greta Hurleyburton an elderly lawyer named Gregory Wooster IV a ten-year-old boy named Bruce a purple-haired installation artist who signs her work "Ahn R Keyy" 1, 2, 3, GO!

It's Monday. Don't Forget to Be Awesome.

Because you are. Really. Peace. Stef.

I Have No Idea What to Write Today

It's Saturday. Sumptuous Saturday at that. It's a free-for-all. I can write whatever I want, no holds barred, no rules, no restrictions. Yet here I am staring at my computer screen, and I've got nothing. Imaginary high-five for anyone who can correctly identify this movie. I even got so desperate that I typed "trending" into my Google search box to look for inspiration. Sadly, all I found were cat videos and a banned Grey Poupon commercial that actually made me giggle quite a bit (I don't care what anyone says. Poop and fart jokes will - forever and always - be funny.). So here I am, writing about not writing. Because why the Hell not?

Exercise #204 - Zoo Animals

Take three characters you are working with in your writing. Imagine that they all visit the zoo. Which animals will which characters want to see? Not care about? Watch intently? What will they say about their favorite and least favorite animals? How will they behave while visiting their cage/ enclosure? Be specific. 1, 2, 3, GO!

Let Those Emotions FLY

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been told that I needed to control my emotions. Stefanie, dry it up. You need to grow a backbone. Stefanie, why are you crying? That doesn't accomplish anything. Stefanie, calm down. It isn't that big of a deal. I am a highly emotional person, and I cannot (nor will I) change that. When I attempt to shut it off and pretend that I am not feeling any of those pesky negative emotions, that's when I get depressed and sick, both mentally and physically. I've talked about this before in a previous post , so I won't go any further into it. If you, like me, are a highly emotive person ( FYI, emotional is not a synonym for crazy or over-dramatic ), be comfortable in your own skin, and don't you dare try to stifle those emotions . Peace. Stef.

Presenting... HAT Korea!

For all of you math nerds... A joke. Kind of. As you all know, I will be moving to South Korea next year to teach English for an currently indeterminate amount of time. Woot. So freaking excited. I am currently taking a TESOL course through The International TEFL Academy online, and the deadline to depart in February of next year is steadily approaching. I have so much to do, and I still am not entirely sure where I should start... That being said, a while ago, I stated that I would be writing a bi-weekly or - to quote myself - "if I feel like it that week" installment called " Travel Tuesdays ," but I have recently come to the decision that this doesn't really fit in with the feel of this particular blog. Not only that, but I plan on expanding quite a bit upon the Korea thing once I actually get there. I'm so clever, I slay myself. So I hereby present to you my new blog project entitled Happy Adventure Time Korea (HAT Korea for short).

Exercise #203 - Bizarre Thing in a Shopping Mall

Do you prefer fashion victim or ensembly challenged? What is the most bizarre thing you ever saw in a shopping mall? Where exactly were you? How did you react? Try to get down as much detail as you can. 1, 2, 3, GO!

Thoughts = Destiny

True Facts Peace. Stef.

The Problem with America

I have been mulling the topic of this blog post over for quite some time now, but I have still yet to come to a conclusion on how I feel about it. And to be completely honest, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get my ass handed to me by several of my readers and will probably lose subscribers. Ah well... You live, you learn, right? I don't have the balls to stand here in front of you and say "I have this all figured out." Because let's face it, I don't and most likely never will. But I do have some points to make and would love open and civil discourse in the comments below. So let's begin, shall we?

Exercise #202 - P Words

Pepperoni, PeptoBismol, pablum, petunia, pickle--- how many words that begin with the letter "p" can you think of? 1, 2, 3, GO!

How Can I Be Kind This Week?

Plato In this day and age, it is so unbelievably easy to become calloused to the rest of the world, to forget that the other people you're encountering are just that: people. You don't know their stories. You don't know what has brought them to the moment your paths crossed. I'm not saying to bend over backwards to allow someone with a bad attitude to treat you poorly. I am simply saying that the next time you're about to blow up at a customer service representative or take the frustrations of your day out on the man who is walking just a bit too slowly down the crowded sidewalk, take a moment. Center yourself. Take a deep breath, and ask yourself some questions. Why am I angry? Is it because I'm feeling hurt or insecure? Is it because I didn't get enough sleep last night? Does my anger solve anything, or does it create more problems? Can I find a solution to the problem (if there is one) without resorting to anger or unkindness? It's like
