2017 - Week 16: MomLady and Popsicle - 35 Years

My parents' anniversary is on April 17th, and this year - 2017 - marks their 35th year together.

Look at how adorable they are.
As someone who is surrounded by divorce on literally all sides, MomLady and Popsicle have been the singular good example of true love throughout the years.

No, they're not perfect, and yes, they do disagree with one another on occasion. Hell, I'm sure they go through spells during which they're highly annoyed with one another. And yet they persist, loving each other despite all of these things. They are an excellent example of love, perhaps not in that ooey-gooey, diabetes-inducing sort of way that happens in a relationship's infancy, but in the way that guarantees support and stability, no matter what happens. My parents' relationship is an unwavering example of what marriage should be like, and, should I ever get married, I will strive for nothing less than the example than they have set.

Happy Anniversary, MomLady and Popsicle. Here's to at least 35 more.

Peace.
Stef.

What things are yellow? Make a list. At the end of the five minutes, note the three you find most curious.
Ah, yellow. One of my least favorite colors. I mean, it's nice and all, but there are so many versions of this color that are simply eye-raping. Anyways, on with the list.

You know, you don't really notice it, but purple appears quite frequently in nature. When I think nature, my mind immediately imagines greens, browns, and generally all kinds of neutral colors, but purple is everywhere. It's pretty awesome.

Without further ado, the One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying, Purple People Eater by Sheb Wooley:

Great, huh? I don't remember when I was first introduced to this all-sorts-of-wonderful song, but I'm pretty sure it was care of my Mom. She definitely has provided quite a bit of the humor in my life, and I'm sure she's one of the big reasons…
