2017 - Week 5: In Which I Have a Date?

I know. This comes as much a surprise to me as it does to you. But it's true.

I, Stefers the Great, have a date.

Hmm.

This is how I'm feeling right now.

This too.

I guess you probably want some details...

I'm reticent to say very much just to protect the privacy of involved, but I'll try to give you as many details as is responsible.

Surprisingly enough (or perhaps not at all), this date absolutely does not stem from any of my #AdventuresInOnlineDating posts on Instagram. I've known this gentleman for nearly 20 years, and I'm kind of in love with that idea. I may choose to expound upon that later, but time will tell if this goes well or not. For now, we'll just call him The Gentleman (TG for short).

Anyways, TG asked me out a few days ago, and we have a date planned for February 18th. Yeah, it's a little odd that we're waiting nearly a whole month before actually going on a date, but you know what? I dig it.

First things first, I am a busy woman. I's gots stuff to do, so it's nice to have some advance notice. Additionally, he lives around 2 hours away. I suggested that we meet halfway to ease the commute for him, but he's intent on wooing me in Nashville, so... alright then. You do you, bro.

So now we wait.

And if any of you know me personally, you know that I am not a good "wait-er." I'm highly impatient, true to my Millennial-ness (so shoot me, ok? I'm a product of my environment), and I have a habit of abandoning all things that require too much wait time unless it's something that matters a great deal to me. I'm working on it, ok?

I'll keep you all updated, and we'll see how this pans out. I, for one, am very interested.

Peace.
Stef.

What things are yellow? Make a list. At the end of the five minutes, note the three you find most curious.
Ah, yellow. One of my least favorite colors. I mean, it's nice and all, but there are so many versions of this color that are simply eye-raping. Anyways, on with the list.

You know, you don't really notice it, but purple appears quite frequently in nature. When I think nature, my mind immediately imagines greens, browns, and generally all kinds of neutral colors, but purple is everywhere. It's pretty awesome.

Without further ado, the One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying, Purple People Eater by Sheb Wooley:

Great, huh? I don't remember when I was first introduced to this all-sorts-of-wonderful song, but I'm pretty sure it was care of my Mom. She definitely has provided quite a bit of the humor in my life, and I'm sure she's one of the big reasons…
