For those of you who are knee-deep in the online writing community, chances are you've heard of the wondrous annual adventure that is NaNoWriMo. If you're new (or possibly completely uninterested), then allow me to regale you.
NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, is an annual write-til-you-drop race with the goal of crossing the finish line prior to midnight on November 30th at 50,000 (or more) words written of a manuscript.
That's it. There aren't any confusing rules, and it's simply a way to motivate yourself to write, edit-free for a full month and knock out that novel you've been thinking about for months but haven't made the time to write.
I look forward to it every year and I'm excited to read through what I've written after November comes and goes.
Do you take part in NaNo?
