100 Happy Days

This is going to be rough, guys, but I'm going to do it.

For those of you who haven't heard of it, a little while ago THIS WEBSITE went viral for a bit amongst my friend group.

The challenge is simple enough: post a picture of something that made you happy that day. Add the hashtag #100HappyDays to your post, and you'll be good to go.

Ok, you say, a bemused smirk creeping across your face, why?

I'm so glad you asked.

It might sound like a bunch of bunk, but it's true. If you just remind yourself at least once per day (that's all... really) of something that makes you happy, then you are setting yourself up to be happier.

So that's what I'm doing.

Starting on September 1st, 2014, I will be posting one post per day at 8PM here on 52 Weeks with a picture of something that makes me happy. It will not be replacing any of my currently scheduled posts; instead these posts will be in addition to my weekly schedule, so prep to hear from me a lot over the next 100 days!

Who will be joining me? Post links and such in the comments section!

Peace.
Stef.

I think this sounds great Stef! Similar to Gretchen Rubin's book The Happiness Project, which I totally recommend. :)

Alright, FINE. I will do a happiness challenge, but you can't make me enjoy it.

I love this idea. I might just have to consider. I'm just afraid of not being able to post everyday, especially since I can barely post one a week. But, great for you for sticking with this challenge! :)

What things are yellow? Make a list. At the end of the five minutes, note the three you find most curious.
Ah, yellow. One of my least favorite colors. I mean, it's nice and all, but there are so many versions of this color that are simply eye-raping. Anyways, on with the list.

You know, you don't really notice it, but purple appears quite frequently in nature. When I think nature, my mind immediately imagines greens, browns, and generally all kinds of neutral colors, but purple is everywhere. It's pretty awesome.

Great, huh? I don't remember when I was first introduced to this all-sorts-of-wonderful song, but I'm pretty sure it was care of my Mom. She definitely has provided quite a bit of the humor in my life, and I'm sure she's one of the big reasons…
