I Need Your Help

Remember when I went to Italy? It was an amazing experience, and I plan to go there again later on in life (you all should too!).

Being that I'm too poor to do that for right now, I am going to create a framed wall collage out of 10 pictures I took while over there.

This is where you come in.

I have created an online photo album on Picasa containing a total of 19 pictures, and I need your help to narrow down some of my options.

What I need is this:

  • Which 10 pictures do you like the best (there are 19 total to choose from)?
  • Which one would be best for a focal piece?
  • Which has no business being in this collage at all?
Any and all comments are more than welcome! I'm pretty proud of the work I created, and I really hope you like it. Once I get it all squared away, I'll post photos of the finished product.

Thanks in advance for your input! I can't wait to see what you all say! :)

Assuming the order stays the same, I love #1, it would be a cool focal point in my mind. And maybe I'm just uncultured and don't get it but I find #3 boring, and #4 doesn't really catch my attention either. I think 17 and 18 compliment each other in their angles. My favorites (aside from #1) are 5, 6 (I love the light streaming in!), 10, 11, and 13. On second thought, #11 would be a cool focal point too because of the contrast of time of day.

"Purple Things"

Exercise #28: "Purple Things"
What things are purple? Make a list.

You know, you don't really notice it, but purple appears quite frequently in nature. When I think nature, my mind immediately imagines greens, browns, and generally all kinds of neutral colors, but purple is everywhere. It's pretty awesome.

Great, huh? I don't remember when I was first introduced to this all-sorts-of-wonderful song, but I'm pretty sure it was care of my Mom. She definitely has provided quite a bit of the humor in my life, and I'm sure she's one of the big reasons…
